Sideritis plant, well known in Greece with the common name Mountain Tea, is a therapeutic herb with multiple properties. From Hippocrates that suggested it as a stimulant due to its high content in iron, up to Dioskorides that considered it as high shield against to the cold, up to today that we know its antihypertensive, antioxidant, antithrombotic action, as well as its high content in flavonoids that armor the circulatory and cardio-vascular system, the Mountain Tea, remains the most popular Greek herb.
PROPORTION:
One g. Herb per 100 g. water. First, add the water and then add the herb. Allow it to rest 7 to 10 minutes covered up outside of the fire and then strain it. If we wish we can add honey or sugar.
